I'm the Team Captain Now
Joe sat on the bench and glanced up at me with a look of fear.

‘I...I’m sorry Matt,’ he stuttered, ‘it won’t happen again.’

‘You’re damn right!’ I shouted angrily. ‘Good thing this was only practice. Remember, I’m the team captain now. If you fuck up like that again, you’re off my team!’

Who’d have thought that only one month earlier, Joe had me pinned up against the lockers. Back then I was a pathetic and weedy school kid. Joe took pleasure in bullying me on a daily basis, and I was too weak to stop him. Boy, have things changed.

My dad’s job was working in a top secret lab for the government, where they had been developing a super soldier serum. When packing my lunch one day, my dad had accidentally swapped my drink with the serum. After unintentionally drinking it, I had instantly transformed, right in the middle of the lunch hall! The kids had stared open mouthed as they watched my school uniform rip apart due to my rapidly growing body. Within seconds I had aged five years and my muscles had swollen out into bodybuilder proportions. I instinctively flexed my giant new biceps, and roared at the kids around me with pure testosterone driven masculinity.

So now I’m the best athlete in the school: confident, powerful and strong. I quickly proved my new skills on the pitch and was made team captain soon after. I’m determined that our team will win this season, so Joe better get his shit together if he wants to stick with the winners. Otherwise it will be my turn to pin him up against a locker.
