Robbie was happily reading a book and listening to music in his
bedroom when it happened. Until then he had been a typical
‘geek’, into books, music and art. He hated sport and those who
played it. He didn’t understand why anyone would want to
waste time mindlessly running around a field when they could
read a good book instead.
Unknown to him, one MP3 on his phone had become corrupted
in such a way that when it started playing, it completely
reprogrammed his mind.
Robbie dropped his book in shock, and pulled the earphones
from his head. He jumped from his bed and immediately
started doing push-ups. He didn’t know why he was doing them,
only that he really wanted to.
Six months later, Rob as he now preferred to be called, was
laughing with his new sporty friends on the pitch. It was a hot
day and perfect excuse to go shirtless and show off his new fit
muscular torso, the result of many many hours spent at the
gym. He hadn’t even picked up a book for months. After all,
why would he want to waste time reading when he could get
a sweat on and play a great game with his friends?
